Long-distance move from Menomonee Falls, WI to Henderson, NV

Scam artists, stay away.

I received phone call from and they offered all kinds of great deals and promises of speedy direct move and great pricing.

At first in quote they purposely quoted smaller boxes than I told them so quote looks more appealing. I quoted medium, large and extra large Home Depot boxes, he put in quote book boxes which at that point I had no clue about.

On February 17 , 2020 I called them to go over box count and item count. They never asked for size specifications, just count. Then they subcontracted moving to another nightmare moving company which moved moving day two days sooner to February 18. Upon arrival other moving company charged me extra 633$ to move stuff because quoted volume was lot less than actual volume. Unfortunately I could not reschedule and get different movers as I had to move out of my apartment . I was told by US Pro Moving and Logistics to get two cashiers checks for 680 $ each- pay one at pick up, other at delivery. Turns out other moving company does not accept cashiers checks during the delivery. More wasted my time to return check to bank in state 2000 miles away and get postal money order.

US Pro Moving and Logistics LLC disregarded my complaints about subcontracting and additional fees as result of improper quote. Subcontractors delivered my furniture late and with lots of damage, they were very rude and argumentative.I had to sign new contract with subcontracted movers. InitiallyUSProMovindandLogistics told me they have hubs everywhere and they have speedy deliveries, after the fact- that they are only broker and I should have known that.

Crooked company who will subcontract your move to especially lousy and unscrupulous movers with very negative rating ( from reviews) to deliver your goods damaged and late.

Long-distance move from Manhasset, NY to Boulder, CO

Better than expected.

I had pretty high expectations because my brother is a professional mover and I have seen how the real companies are supposed to operate. I did not choose the cheapest mover because you get what you pay for in this industry.

My belongings were picked up within my 3 day window, they helped wrap up one of my couches and pad wrap my dresser. One of the workers seemed kind of hungover but they were fast and efficient.

I utilized the 30 days of free storage at my destination, and they moved me into my new house and staged everything perfectly! You get what you pay for. As far as long distance moves go it is hard to beat US Pro Movings service.

Ripoff all fake reviews ••BEWARE••.

John acted so nice and once he got my $1,222 he never picked up his phone again. He promised me he’d have movers at my house by today, of coarse they never showed. I was then lied to that a driver would call me. They are brokers and still haven’t found a driver or movers. I found this out quickly from an attorney who told me the owner is hiding under a deleware shell company. I asked to please cancel this move, they said “section 14” says they keep your deposit even though nobody has ever even shown up or called me. Instead I’m being hung up on everytime I’ve called since I paid this $1,222 for absolutely nothing but headaches. I’m sure if these other reviews are investigated we will find out theya are all lies. I will be contacting BBB etc. Filing fraud and will update. Beware.

Mr. Cheatam after listening to the recording of the call, we confirmed that you were given a 2-day pickup window. Our truck couldn't arrive until the 2nd of those days. Im sorry that you preferred the 1st day, but we could not control that. You will not receive a refund and will be happy to provide documentation to your credit card company when I'm sure you dispute the charge with them.

Long-distance move from Indiana to New Mexico

Not the way to do business.

Was assured by high pressure sales rep that we could cancel for a full refund within 72 hours. Sales rep nearly impossible to get a hold of afterwards. After repeated attempts, finally told we could cancel for a full refund, but not after being put on with his supervisor essentially demanding to know why we wanted to cancel. 4 days go by and refund is still not issued, and their customer support has no record of our refund.

Do not do business with them. Will be complaining to Better Business Bureau, I encourage others to do the same.

Very unprofessional- avoid!

I was in the middle of getting everything set up over the phone and my internet went out so I lost the call. I then received a very inappropriate text message from the company telling me to just move on my own and not waste their time. Seriously? So unprofessional and childish. There are plenty of other companies- choose a different one!

Long-distance move from Sioux Falls, SD to Tucson, AZ

Lied from the beginning to end.

13 1star reviews on google in the last month all saying worst experience ever, scam artist, not holding up to contracts , waiting on refunds they never receive, horrible experiences. Lied to from the beginning. Was told by Kim that my move included a month of storage at the destination and that I would have access to it. A week before the move I’m told nope, the storage unit is a warehouse I won’t have access to and is in the origin (Ie the state I’m moving out of). Day of move, no communication? I have to call and wait 45 minutes for someone to pick up as my customer service reps never answer the phone or return messages. Finally get someone whom says the movers will there midday the next day. Frustrated but dealing. 5pm rolls around and the driver calls me to tell me he’s in Albuquerque?! What?! He’s supposed to be coming from Watertown Kim said which is 1.5 hours outside Sioux Falls. WTH?!kim said the drivers could only drive 500 miles at a time?! That puts them coming Monday at the earliest. I call to cancel. Wait an hour. Lady whom says she’s the boss said the truck will be there in the evening. Said the miss communication is not their fault or problem. I say no that is unacceptable. I have children and family to consider. After she clearly could care less I ask to speak to her boss. She has the owner call me from Coral Springs. He cares even less. Lied by saying his driver spoke to my brother whom said all is good. I said really considering you don’t have his number and if you did he speaks Vietnamese. Then he turns around and denies saying that in the same conversation. He said as long as the truck gets there by the 29th it’s contract binding. So I said your telling me that you authorize your movers to drive none stop through the night and arrive late as hell and think that’s good service? Lie to, keep changing plans, keep telling me different things and think that’s good service? Whatever you do stay away from these desperate people. They will not be on time, they will lie to you, they will take your money and offer no services to you, they will cheat you, they will not communicate clearly to you or in a timely manner. They will make your move completely stressful and miserable.

Long-distance move from Philadelphia, PA to Colorado Springs, CO

Ripoff alert!

Requested a move quote, was contacted by Lloyd Burns, explained our move situation being an emergency due to death in family and so he said the payments would be broken up into 3 payments, deposit,1st half of remaining at pickup and 2nd half of remaining at delivery, we explained at the beginning we need to use a credit card due to the circumstances because they wanted PayPal which I didn’t have. He then said he could send me an email to walk me through how to pay by credit card. Which he did then transferred me to verify all information for move. On this call the lady advised we would need to pay in cash,check,moneyorder..etc. for the pickup payment we explained that we just told Lloyd that this needs to be a credit card payment. She said it couldn’t we said well we need to cancel this process than because we already explained to Lloyd that we need to pay for this move with a credit card. She than transferred us back to Lloyd which we told him we told him we just had the conversation with you about having to pay for this move via credit card. He then said that there is nothing he could do because our payment of $742 deposit was non refundable..!!?? Excuse me we never got off the phone to even complete this process. No services were even rendered? I immediately called my credit card company explained the situation and disputed the charge which they said they would take care of. This is why using a credit card is better than “cash” as they seemed to want and explains why! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND IF YOU DO BEWARE!

Hello Mr. Jackson,

I don't know why Lloyd thought that your deposit was non-refundable, but I assure you that it is. The transaction has already been refunded and I apologize for the miscommunication.

Long-distance move from Gilbert, AZ to Mount Prospect, IL

Stay Away!!

Horrific moving experience. I agree that the 5 star reviews were fake to try to bring up their rating. To this day, I'm still not moved. Today is Tuesday October 13th, my move day was set for Sunday September 27th. The "back up date" was Monday September 28th. Have lost track of the calls I've made to representatives, to fight for my down payment back as not 1 box has been moved. I waited from Sunday morning (when they were supposed to show) to finally at 8pm on Wednesday September 30th I got a text at 8pm saying someone will be there Thursday October 1st at 10am.

They showed up & had the last 12 inches of their truck open, could've moved approximately 10boxes.They informed me they will strap the rest to the hydraulic ramp off & to “not worry about it”

Obviously that was not an option with a restoration hardware couch, or anything for that matter.

I called back to this company, US pro & logistics to explain what happened, they offered me 10% off my move that would have to be rescheduled. Which is also a joke, but at this point I was on a time crunch. I told them to call back with a day, time & what company would be moving so I could plan. No call back. So I called again on Thursday October 1st and they said they would send me another moving company Friday October 2nd. I asked for who/where/when & they couldn’t provide any information. They said they would know within an hour. I called again and they had no update, INSTEAD they told me it wouldn’t be Friday anymore, it will “now be Saturday, probably”

I was moving from Phoenix to Chicago that Friday, October 2nd. They said someone else could meet the movers. But again, they couldn’t give me a company, an exact day or exact time.

I told them I no longer trusted their company and wanted to figure out another option, they said they would give me ½ my deposit back, so $450 back and they keep $450 for ruining my entire moving experience.

I agreed to get off the phone because I was so upset.

Horrible customer service. Complete scam. Now The company is continuing to blame ME for “cancelling”.

I HAD TO MOVE, so left all my belongings & to this day I’m trying to figure out how to get my stuff to me, or if I just sell it from the other side of the US.

I called back today, Tuesday October 13th and they “don’t have it in the notes that I am supposed to receive ½ my down payment. They continue to blame me for cancelling. I gave this company 7 days to fix the problem and they FAILED. Not me.

Do not use them. Shame on me for not reading the reviews before I made the down payment. Learn from my $900.00 mistake, don’t trust them. They also lied on the phone saying they have a perfect score with the BBB and that is false, to say the least.

My bank won’t help me either because I originally signed the contract, so it’s not fraudulent, disappointed all around.

What a time to loose $900, during covid and a move.

Stay away from this company, they will cause you a nightmare when you move.

Scam Artist.

Do not give them your bank account information for payment! I cancelled within three days and still have not gotten my money back 30 days later. Maxwell is a great liar. Do not use under any circumstances. I was under stress as my dog was ill and stupidly gave them payment without any option of disputing once it’s withdrawn from your account.

Complete frauds. Believe the bad reviews not the good. Most reputable companies reviews will be pretty in line not totally opposed in service. I’m thankful I cancelled. I’d Rather loose 980 bucks then deal with any other of their outright lies and BS.

DO NOT USE

This company is a SCAM! They told me they had an “A” rating and that the company I already had a quote from was a “B” rating, so I went with them. They didn’t even price match my other quote, but assured their service was the best and it was worth the extra. I was fooled, that’s my bad for being so naive, but I’ve learned.

I gave them the exact dimensions of every piece of furniture and quoted them for 30 boxes. My estimate was $2500. On moving day, the actual movers showed up and my stuff took up twice the amount of space they estimated, and I only had 20 boxes! My total changes were almost $6000!

Additionally, my movers were supposed to arrive on a Thursday. It took 5 times calling to finally get through that day, and they told me they wouldn’t be there until Friday! Would have been nice to get a call. Then when my movers arrived Friday at 5 PM(!!), they didn’t have it in their contract that I would be storing with them, so they left and US Pros said it was their bad and had to find different movers. Finally, a new group came on Saturday.

When I initially called and got my $2500 quote, they said I could store with them for the first 30 days free and $100/month after that. The storage place called me today and told me it was $640/month. Now I have to move my stuff AGAIN to another unit. This has been the most miserable moving experience I could have possibly imagined.

When I called the first time, they never said any of these figures were an estimate. They even said I wouldn’t have to pay another dime than what was on my concrete. To be taken advantage of to this degree during a pandemic (AND as a new mother to a 5 month old) is so outrageously awful. Any time I have called, these people sound like frat kids. It’s a group of children taking advantage of people and laughing with each other about it. Laugh all you want- karma will get you guys.

And to the guy who said “don’t talk to me like your boyfriend”- 1.) completely unprofessional, 2.) you wish and 3.) I wouldn’t be caught dead dating a POS like you :)

Long-distance move from Central Point, OR to Desert Hot Springs, CA

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY BROKER!

They contracted a company to move our items from Oregon to California which were not reputable at all where many items were stolen or missing from the items we moved and this company refuses to even answer my emails of the problems we had or do anything about our loss of items which amounts to about $10000. The contracted a company that has horrible reviews D United Logistics Moving & Storage to make our move and this is what we have to say about that company:

First this moving company was 3 days late picking up our items which we had all packed and ready to load into the truck. They did not have to do anything just load. They arrived at 9:30pm at night to a 55+ park to load our items into a Budget rental truck that was mostly full from another customer's move. So they did not have room for our things so they left when the truck was full until 1:30am returning the next day with our things gone and still the other customer's items were there to complete the loading of the rest of our items. Then they said our cubic feet was 600 more than the original estimate from the broker moving company as we gave them a detail list of our inventory items and even gave an overestimated amount of boxes as they told us to do so. Our inventory list had 127 items and the final amount was only 114 items. They said we owed an additional $1972 from our original binding moving estimate as they said the broker moving company did NOT know properly how to calculate the cubic feet but they did. Then they said they would deliver our items the following week from Oregon to California. They delayed and delayed the date to deliver our items over 3 weeks after the pickup giving us a different excuse each time why it was not going to be delivered on the dates they told us. When they arrived, we had to pay them $2700 before they would open the truck and they brought our items in a smaller 16-ft Budget truck which shows online has a cubic feet capacity of only 658 cubic feet and our items did not even fill the truck. So they charged us for 1400 cf when we had far less than that as shown by the truck they delivered our items. Then several items were badly damaged like a bicycle that is so bent cannot be ridden and our safe was broken into as the door had been torn off and a valuable antique gold watch was missing. They even taped the door back onto the safe like nothing had happened. We had several missing items like a leather chair and ottoman, 3 ladders, a woman's mountain bike that we still have not recovered. Boxes were badly damaged and many items broken. We took lots of pictures. So this company CANNOT be trusted to broker your move as they contracted with a company that CANNOT deliver your inventory timely or keep proper care of the items and even lose many items or let them get stolen and overcharge way too much! I wish I could give 0 stars as 1 is too many!!!

Long-distance move from Atlanta, GA to Denver, CO

Horrible experience

I am not someone who typically reads many reviews, nor do I ever write them, but this situation warranted a review. PLEASE learn from me and do NOT trust this company. First of all, they are not a moving company, they are a broker company and mislead me from the start.

My first conversation was with “senior moving coordinator” Thomas Detoro. I explicitly told him the price he first quoted me for moving my studio apartment from Georgia to Colorado was too expensive for me to afford, and he was able tp approve a “discount” that I could afford.

That was my first mistake. I fell for his sales pitch, and he used the line “If I can get this quote down can we have your business?”

That was how they hooked me in.

Next, a man name Ben from peak van lines came to pick up my things 1 day later than I was told due to his “truck breaking down.” Before he even saw my storage unit, he was already telling me through text message that

I’d owe him $1000 than I had singed in the contract with us pro movers and logistics.

I never got a phone call 1-2 days before my pick up date to confirm details, as us pro movers told me I would.

Ben from Peak Van lines said I had 200 more cubic square feet than I was quoted for and he charged me $700 more than I was quoted and more than I had singed to pay. He did not have a measuring tape or markers on his truck to show how much stuff I had; it was all subjective.

When I reached out with a complaint to peak van lines, they told me to come get my things from Atlanta. This was not possible for me as I was already in Colorado.

Ben never reached out to me letting me know my household goods were heading towards Denver. I got a call from a man named Jason who said he was an “independent” mover who had picked up the job from Ben.

Jason told me he would be there in 12 hours at 4 am. This was a terribly inconvenient time as I had to go to work at 7 am. Jason said he was unable to wait until the evening and he attempted to charge me $400 MORE than I was quoted on top of the $700 extra that Ben had already charged me.

I contacted us pro movers and logistics and they contacted Jason and let him know their policy was $75 for each flight of stairs with the first flight being free.

Jason did not let me know he was running late, so I was awake at 3:30 am waiting to hear from them. They arrived at 530 am. I paid them my remaining balance plus $125 extra for my flight of stairs. I only owed them $75 per my contract, so I gave them $50 extra trying to help them out a bit.

Jason and his partner Cameron unloaded all of my things onto the curb outside of my apartment, refusing to take my things upstairs into my apartment, EVEN though I had paid them not only correctly, but a bit extra. They said, “we don’t work for free” and then left with all my things on the curb. I had to leave for work and was unable to take my dresser, several boxes, a table, patio chairs, etc. up to my apartment.

To the degree that I understand, Ben from peak van lines scammed them, (the remaining balance I paid them went to Ben, not to Jason and Cameron) so they didn’t honor their commitment and contract to take my things up to my apartment. Jason and Cameron were contracted by Ben, and Ben was contracted by us pro movers.

To summarize:

-To NOT give your money to this business and do not trust them

-I have spent 4 plus hours on the phone with customer service reps from us pro moving and nothing has been done to make this right. Despite requesting multiple times to speak with a manger, they say they aren’t avaliable and that they don’t have phone numbers only email. I have emailed the management email, support@movingpros.org twice over the last week with no response

-They are unreliable and do not take responsibility for their mistake in giving my contract to a disreputable moving company (look up reviews for peak van lines for yourself)

-They have not made it right, despite me asking.. Both carriers took their money and ran.

Ignore whatever they say to dispute this review. They are scamming for your money, dishonest and irresponsible with lack a of integrity and no care for their customers.

Do not use them!

Do not use this company! All of the bad reviews are correct! Let’s start with the fact that they aren’t the moving company that will be actually moving your things across country. They subcontract out to other movers who also have horrible reviews. They also you booking agents that are a third party as well to sell to service. The booking agent I got was Michelle Jones she was terrible as well. She gave me her phone number and told me to call her or text her with any questions and concerns but after I signed the contact and gave them the deposit she never picked up the phone again nor told me that another moving company would be moving my stuff or how to contact them. I couldn’t only get a text at best and nothing would be resolved. As far as US Pro Moving and Logistics is as a company I have no idea what they actually do, they don’t move anything and they say they are the logistics Company but every time I would call them they never had any answers instead I would get responses like “we have to wait for the other company to get back to us because they aren’t open yet” or “the other company isn’t answer the phone so I don’t know” and then they would never call you back even if you asked them to when they have the information. On top of this horrible customer they were either rude, condescending, or stoned. They had no information, even where my stuff was or where it was being stored or when it would get to me, not even an estimate. Also it took them a month to finally drop my stuff off and they wanted to deliver it on Christmas Day and threatened to take it back across country to Las Vegas if I didn’t have them drop it off. Honestly it caused me so much stress and there were weeks I thought it was a huge scam and they had just taken my money and my stuff to never get it back.

Please do not use this company!

Scam Artist

We had the worst experience. Originally quoted 2500 to move and when doing final inventory increase the price to 5000. Required an initial deposit of $2,000 over the telephone. Required $1500 cash at pick up and $1500 cash at delivery. When the movers arrived at our house they had a truck full of someone else’s furniture thrown around. The driver had a list of our inventory for a three bedroom two story house. When he arrived he said they can only take the couch based on their truck being full. They refuse service and left. They kept our money and blamed us for refusing service. Refused to give us a refund and now we have to sue them in court. In addition we are left with a stressful situation and a deadline to move out of our current home.

Strongly recommend to not use this company.

HORRIBLE ADVOID AT ALL COST

Fist experience was AMAZING the rep Christopher was AMAZING. We spoke on the phone for over 2hrs and being a former military service member I was happy to support a vet based business. Placed my deposit on 1/31/21 of 687.00. Moving dates were to be between 2/26 and 2/27/2021. I went on to purchase plane tickets for myself, my wife and my daughter bought kennels for my LARGE dog and cat to fly to Texas. I proceeded to sell my car, my home and NOW on MOVING DAY they say we are TO REMOTE and they can't move us. We need to go get a U-Haul and do it OURSELVES. Well we hired you because your quote was less than getting a U-Haul, and now we have spent $700 on NON REFUNDALBE plane tickets and bought an airplane quality KENNEL for my dog, that is a nice $200. So now I have no JOB, and no way to move. All the rep Justin will say is email this email. All dispatch will say is get a U-Haul and do it yourself. That isn't an option, NOW I have sunk all my money into AIRFARE, deposits FOR YOU, KENNELS that apparently were NOT needed now and NOW I AM SCREWED. Thank you. Even if you refund me it won't be in time for me to PACK before my FLIGHT on SUNDAY at 8am!

Worst Customer Service Ever

Beware of this total rip off company. Do not use their services or, recommend them to anyone. The management is rude and all their staff. They are trained to lie and send every customer with an issue in circles. I had to cancel my move and did so within their time frame. I was told by Steve Berch that I would get a refund if I had to cancel when I signed on. When I called Marissa Benett told me I was eligible for a refund of the $793.80 deposit I put down via ACH TRANSFER. She also sent me an email so I have it in writing. It states that it could take 30 days. I received her email on 1/25/2021. It is now March 1, 2021 and I still have not gotten my refund. I have called at least 10 times and all I get is the run around and, no answers. I was given several different emails by reps and none of them get any response. I even sent emails back to Marissa Benett who sent the email of eligibility to me, initially. She also does not respond. It’s obvious this company just keeps your money regardless of the situation. This is down right fraud and, illegal. Not to mention horrible business practices. I have never been more disgusted and disappointed with a company. I have been lied to, treated unfairly, and treated very rude on the phone by their employees. I had to go to the extreme of reporting this to the Better Business Bureau.I just would really like to se my refund of $793.80. Quit jerking people around and, act professional US Pro Movers!

Stole my deposit won’t return emails

On February 2, 2O21 I called this company to get a quote for shipping a grandfather clock and large secretary desk. After speaking with an agent by the name of William I agreed to contract with them and provide a deposit of 540.00 with the option of being able to change my mind for five business days. The next day I woke up and started to review this company. To my horror, I discovered all of these horrific reviews. I immediately contacted the company and told them I would no longer require their service. I was then informed by a woman in accounting that it was already processing and I would have to wait 30 days in order to receive a refund. I informed the woman that I had 5 days to change my mind and not to debit my bank account. She informed me that this was not possible. Today is March 8th and I still have not received a refund nor a response to my many emails. For reference my job number is us7286160. I expect a full refund immediately.

Long-distance move from Boulder, CO to Tempe, AZ

Late and overcharged

I was told a certain fee upon signing up. I only had a small number of items, but when movers arrived, I was charged all sorts of extra fees that were never disclosed beforehand. There's a 50 meter fee in addition to the 12 stairs fee. It seemed like the movers put me between a rock and a hard place because they claimed that my boxes would take up more space than allowed. I was quoted a price for 51 medium sized boxes...I only had 10 boxes total.

I ended up paying an additional $500 on top of everything. It felt like extortion. What was I going to do, cancel my move right there on the spot as I was expecting to move that day! I will never do business with this company again. If I'm going to pay $2600 to move a studio sized apartment, I might as well have gone with a better company. Also they showed up more than 2 hours late. Needless to say I was irritated when they arrived. The mover didn't understand why I was irritated and threatened to leave my stuff there.

This anxiety producing experience makes me want to never use a moving company again. Not worth the headspace and anxiety.

HORRIBLE COMPANY

Here is the email I sent to them February 17. I am now being complete ignored since April. ☆DO NOT USE THIS EVIL COMPANY☆

They have given me the runaround, ignored me multiple times, treated me like scum etc. This by far has been the worst customer service experience of my life. No exaggeration.

I, B*****J**** and formally requesting for a return of my deposit is the amount of $687, paid on February 3, 2021.

The experience that I have had with Moving Pros has been quite the nightmare to say the least.

Here is a copy & paste review that I left for Virgin Moving & Storage that will accurately portray this experience:

:I called Moving Pros, spoke with Tom Parker, who quoted me $1922, after inventory was given.

My scheduled moving date was 2/14/21. At 7:55pm on the evening of 2/13/21, Brian from VMS called me to ask if they can arrive early in the morning because of his dissatisfaction that he had to work on "Valentine's Day and on [his] birthday." He stated that (tomorrow) was Valentine's Day & his birthday several times, while also expressing that he wanted to be home with his girlfriend and that "no one wanted to work with him because of Valentine's Day." I felt extremely uncomfortable at this point and asked, "Should I hire someone else?" He of course, said, "no."

The morning of the move he shows up and continuously said "how much stuff [I] have," while shaking is head. Again, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. I had my clothes on hangers, zip tied, pulled through large garden bags and then taped tightly. There was about 6 of these altogether, plus a few more garden bags full of soft material like bedding. There were unpacked items as well. I made it clear that none of those items were coming with, and I'd be throwing them away. He then took photos of my inventory. Upon finishing, he began writing down numbers and told me outloud that $600 was being added for packaging material for the items in bags. I said, "Excuse me? $600 for some boxes and some tape?" He replied, "And for labor." Wow! Unbelievable, right? He then said that [Moving Pros] quoted me at mid 300 cubic feet and that I had 900 on something. Flash forward to the next day: we ended up loading up a Uhaul and I assure you, that I did not have over 900 cubic feet of inventory. He finished his new quote and told me it would be $5162.50! It went from $1922 to $5162.50. I would like to point out that my furniture was very standard for a small apartment: queen bed, headboard, small vanity, 2 nightstands, a bookshelf approx. 4' tall, a 3' flat-screen tv, a basic window side table for plants, a cat tree, standard coffee table, NO dining table and chairs as I was giving that away, 3 backless bar stools, and heavy duty shelving that was all broken down for them, but 2. That's it! The rest was boxes that I had numbered and the garden bags that I mentioned earlier.

He was aggressive with me & as a single female, I was feeling very unsafe. I told him how ridiculous his new quote was and how wrong it was to try & charge me over 250% more than the original quote. The feeling of being unsafe plus the outrageous quote, prompted me to ask them to leave my home. He continued to push for my cooperation. I continued to ask him to leave. He then sat in his truck for sometime afterwards while I received 3 calls from 2 different people, trying to persuade me to use their services and brought their quote down to $3100. I was so unsafe and uncomfortable feeling though, so I asked yet again, for them to leave. I will be fighting to get my $687 deposit back from Moving Pros."

Not only was my experience incredibly stressful, but it was also very intimidating and unsafe feeling. I will also add that I called Pro Moving, but couldn't reach anyone due to the day being Sunday. I texted Tom Parker and to this day have not gotten a response. I needed a new moving company. I called Tuesday while driving my Uhaul to Oregon to request my deposit back and was given this email to do so.

I will take this to a small claims court and report to the Better Business Bureau if need be. I will definitely report Virgin Moving & Storage to BBB, regardless.

I hope you all do the right thing.

One very unhappy customer,

Fraud and Attempted exploitation

First off this company is a complete scam. The sales guy tried hitting on my girlfriend and flying her down to see him (his name is listed as Guy in the company’s estimate). He told her how he would give her 4 movers for the price of two.. anyways his estimate on paper matched the items in her 1 bedroom apartment. The movers show up, all young, one guy on crutches, and they could not speak English, demanding that she pay 2,000 more in cash or they wouldn’t move her. She was really sketched out and wanted to speak with their supervisor. The supervisor hung up on her and the movers left and never came back even though they said they would after they spoke with their manager. She was on hold over 4 hours only to be hung up on again. No calls emails or responses from the company. This company is a scam and took her 1,200 down payment. They claim to be veteran owned. Having worked in the moving industry as manager and sales rep I will 100% say stay away from these guys. Complete scam. We are grateful that they didn’t move her as we are confident that they would have stolen her belongings.

Long-distance move from Oroville, WA to Tucson, AZ

Total Rip off

This company is a total rip off. I was told they would arrive on March 28th around 9AM, which was the 2nd day of the delivery window. I never received a phone call stating that there was a problem.I was then told they would be there on March 29th, still no one came.I called numerous times finally on March 30th I was told that the truck broke down and no one would be coming as no truck was coming up towards WA state.and I would be getting a refund in 10 days. Well we are on July 12th and still no refund! No one returning emails etc. Customer Service is rude and hangs up on you! Tells you to email corporate and they will get back to you! I would just want my 839.00 + 400.00 for a grand total of $1239 back. I would have gladly used the service, but when you cancel the service I deserve prompt reply.

Long-distance move from Martinsburg, WV to Lynchburg, VA

Deceptive and not willing to take responsibility

I was also told my move would cost $1418.06. In my initial conversation with Ryan, he also told me that I would be able to make my payment due at pickup via credit card and the moving company was not able to accommodate that request. I explained my items over and over again to Ryan and he still put down the wrong items. I told him several times that I have a king and queen mattress sets with the mattress and box springs. He did not include the box springs into the quote. Because I am only a customer, when I reviewed the quote, I thought the description of king and queen mattress also included the box springs. I was angry and surprised to find out that the quote did not include the box springs.

When I received the called for my final list of items, I asked to include a few more items into the quote and I was allotted 397 cubic feet and my move costs increased to $2149.38. I even removed 15 boxes that I previously said that I would move. That increase was substantial especially since I only added a kitchen table and the box springs that should have been added in the first place.

Prior to the move date, I called several times to find out how much it would cost for me to add items to my move so that I would have a good estimate of how much the move would cost and I was that I would receive a call a week prior to my move date to discuss that. Almost every time I called; I was on hold for an hour to longer only to be hung up on when the call was finally answered. I did not get that call until 2 days before my move was scheduled.

A day prior to my scheduled move date, I got a call asking if my items could be picked up early. Regretfully, I agreed because I wanted to more time to prepare for the move especially because I was sick the week before. When the movers arrived, I was told that the items I had exceeded the cubic feet that I was being allotted for my move and that my mattresses alone took up that cubic footage. The movers also did not have the corrected final items paperwork that included the additional items that I wanted to move and I had to pay even more money ($2717.95). I had no way to dispute this practice. There is no way I should have been told one price over the phone then another in person without anyway to dispute this at the time of the move. I was also told that I would not be able to use my credit card to pay for the pickup costs. I was angry. Of course, the contract that I signed worked to the favor the company and I was not allowed to cancel without losing my deposit. I wanted to cancel because I was deceived the entire time.

As the move commenced, the movers damaged a part of the wall coming down a set of stairs by scrapping the box spring against it. They also put both of my metal bed frames together incorrectly and did not tell me they did not know how to put them together. All they had to do was ask me and I would have told them how to properly put the frames together or I could have done it myself. When I called their dispatch to complain I was further insulted because I was told that the metal frames are affected by weight. I have had the frames for several years now. My weight was not the problem. The problem was that the movers did not attach the middle support to the frame and the had the extension piece that transforms the mattress to different sizes on upside down and the middle extender could not be connected to the frame. The picture I attached shows that middle support laying on the floor after I took the mattress and box spring off. The middle support is laying there because the movers did not even attach it.

When I sat on the bed there was no middle support which caused the frame to collapse and bend, the bed to collapse, and the frame was not repairable. I had to purchase a new frame because of this. It was a good thing that I decided to check the queen bed frame after the incident with the king bed frame because I learned that that frame was also just thrown together and the mattresses where not even fitting in the frame correctly because the movers put them together without fully extending the railings. I would like this matter resolved. I cannot believe that I paid over $2100 to be treated in such a deceptive manner and that your company can operate with no regard for customer service or satisfaction.

I debated several times about whether to write file a complaint. I work too hard to spend and be mistreated by a company. I called customer service was told that all I can do with write an email to complain. I cannot even get in contact with anyone to get a new invoice. It is like the company put me on a do not call list and is not answering any of my calls. I am tried of this and US Pro Movers needs to be put out of business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CHEATED.
